Every variant in the NGAM family is a novel material developed and owned by Mjolner — not a modification of an existing armour system. Each is independently engineered for a specific threat tier and platform class, from lightweight FSP defeat through to ballistic and the highest-end kinetic threats.

​​A novel strike-face material developed by Mjolner. LAR-C is supplied as very-thin prefabricated panels for integration onto existing armour structures. The system is intended to provide better ballistic performance, preserve mobility, and reduce the mass burden associated with conventional protection.

Full STANAG 4569 threat coverage from Level 1 through Level 4+. Defeats steel-core AP and tungsten-carbide threats at next-generation areal densities.

A novel Mjolner-developed material optimised for high velocity fragment-defeating performance at a very-low areal density. LAR-A is purpose-built for platforms where mass is the primary constraint.

A novel Mjolner-developed material targeting STANAG K5 through K6+ and APFSDS rounds. LAR-M addresses the long-rod threat class at next-generation areal densities, without requiring structural modification to the host platform.
HIGH KINETIC ENERGY
Long Rod Penetrator Defeat
LAR-M targets the threat class at the top of the kinetic energy threat spectrum — long-rod penetrators from modern APDS/APFSDS rounds. The programme targets a 30% reduction in armour weight.
MEDIUM PLATFORMS
APC Enhancement
LAR-M targets total areal density for STANAG 4569 K6–K7 at 150–190 kg/m² — a credible upgrade pathway for Allied APCs operating in near-peer threat environments, without hull redesign.
HEAVY PLATFORMS
IFV & MBT Enhancement
